North Central District Dietetic Association (NCDDA)

District Meetings:

• There are 4 meetings per year with CPE credit offered at each.  The meeting location rotates between Enid, Ponca City, and Stillwater.
• Most meetings occur on Tuesday evenings and begin with social time at 5:30 p.m. Food and drinks are provided.  The program begins at 6 p.m. and the business meeting follows. 
• Next Meeting:  Tuesday, November 8, 2011 in the Honska Room at Stillwater Medical Center, 1323 W. Sixth, Stillwater, OK 74076 - There will be round table discussions to learn about exciting topics and issues that affect all nutrition professionals.  Topics will include "Motivational Interviewing" by Dr. Thad Leffingwell, OSU Dept. of Psychology, "Job Negotiating Skills, Job Interviewing Skills, and Answers to all of your Human Resources Questions" by Tera Latta, Director of Human Resources, INTEGRIS North Region (Bass Baptist Health Center, Blackwell, and Clinton Hospitals), "Sports Nutrition" by Dr. Lenka Shriver, OSU Sports Nutrition Expert, and "Benefits of ADA, ODA, and NCDDA Membership".  - 1.0 CPE Available! New Members will be eligible to win a door prize at the meeting.  Sign up NOW!

Additional Information:

• Only members of ADA may be members of NCDDA.
• The NCDDA membership year runs from June 1st to May 31st.
• It was voted to raise dues to $20 in order to be able to continue to give a $500 scholarship. Student dues are $5.  Non-members will be charged $10 per CPEU.
• Membership dues allow NCDDA to award a $500 scholarship in the spring to an ODA student in our district.
• We are a geographically large district and recognize that it is difficult for many to attend meetings.  However, we have a loyal core group and enjoy networking and learning together!  Even if you can't join us in person, please consider joining in order to help us continue to fund the NCDDA scholarship.
